Learn More >Bangladesh's industrial landscape is undergoing an unprecedented expansion phase. Driven by major infrastructure programs under the national economic development blueprint, sectors such as cement grinding, structural steel production, coal-fired power generation, and deepwater port construction are experiencing rapid scaling. These heavy-duty industrial processes deal with high-volume, abrasive raw materials—clinker, coal, slag, aggregates, and iron ore—which cause rapid degradation of machinery components.
In this challenging context, standard carbon steel components wear down within months, causing unscheduled downtime, lost productivity, and soaring maintenance costs. Implementing high-alloyed Chromium Carbide Overlay (CCO) wear plates has transitioned from an optional upgrade to a technical necessity. Runxing Machinery provides the metallurgical expertise and automated surfacing technology required to elevate plant operational availability across Bangladesh.
Investing in premium hardfacing solutions significantly changes plant economics. By switching from standard structural steel (Q355) to RX® CCO plate, factories in Chittagong, Dhaka, and Mongla achieve:
We offer a comprehensive selection of raw overlay plates, hardfacing consumables, automated welding machinery, and industrial roll repair services.

To select the correct wear protection material, it is critical to understand the underlying wear mechanism. In heavy-duty industries, components suffer from sliding abrasion, impact abrasion, and high-temperature oxidation. Traditional carbon steels or quench-and-tempered steels (like AR400 or AR500) rely on martensitic structures. While they offer good toughness, their resistance to severe sliding abrasion is limited when handling materials with high silica content, such as quartz, clinker, or granite.
Our bimetallic overlay contains a dense distribution of primary M7C3 chromium carbides. These hexagonal crystals have a micro-hardness exceeding 1500 HV (Vickers), providing a barrier against cutting action by abrasive particles.
The carbides are embedded within a tough, eutectic matrix of chromium-rich austenite. This combined structure supports the hard carbides, preventing premature spalling and crumbling under moderate impact.
Using automated open-arc welding systems, we control the heat input to ensure the dilution of chromium from the overlay into the mild steel backing is minimized, preserving chemistry across the wear surface.
Because the primary chromium carbide overlay has a volume fraction of carbides between 30% to 50%, the material retains its wear resistance at elevated temperatures (up to 600°C), making it suitable for cement kiln chutes, clinker discharge plates, and coal-fired boiler inlets where heat and friction coexist.
We engineer target-specific wear protection solutions across diverse sectors, helping local facilities maximize uptime and improve operational safety.

Traditional open-arc welding remains highly cost-effective, but laser cladding is gaining traction for high-precision surfaces. Laser processing allows thinner deposition layers with near-zero heat input, eliminating distortion in thin base sheets while achieving high carbide densities.
By introducing micro-alloying elements like Niobium (Nb), Titanium (Ti), and Tungsten (W), we produce complex carbides that outperform standard binary Chromium Carbides. These complex alloys retain hardness at temperatures exceeding 750°C and offer improved resistance to fine-particle erosion.

Bangladesh experiences high humidity, which accelerates electrochemical oxidation and wear on unprotected metal surfaces. Runxing's CCO plates are engineered with a high chromium concentration (typically 25-40% Cr), forming a self-passivating chromium-oxide boundary layer that resists corrosion, while the primary M7C3 carbides handle mechanical wear.
All export business is handled by Hebei Yuwan International Trade Co., Ltd. They manage export customs, documentation, and payment verification. We accept Letters of Credit (L/C) issued by reputable Bangladeshi banks (e.g., Dhaka Bank, City Bank, Prime Bank), ensuring safe financial transactions for our buyers.
Yes. Our plates are designed with a structural, weldable mild steel backing (Q235 or Q355). You can weld the backing plate to your machinery frame using standard low-hydrogen electrodes (E7018) or wire (ER70S-6). The hardfaced overlay cannot be cut with oxygen-acetylene torches; plasma cutting is required, cutting from the back side toward the overlay.
We offer various combinations of backing-to-overlay ratios. Common specifications include 6+4 (6mm mild steel base + 4mm overlay), 8+6, 10+10, and 12+12. We also supply custom-tailored thicknesses up to 30mm total thickness based on your specific application and structural load requirements.
Standard plates are kept in stock and can be prepared for shipping within 7–10 days. Custom-fabricated liners, curved pipes, or custom structural frames take 15–25 days for production. Marine transit from Tianjin Port to Chittagong Port typically takes 18–25 days.
