How does Chromium Carbide Overlay (CCO) compare to standard quenching and tempering steels like AR400 or AR500?
While quenched and tempered steel plates (like AR400 or AR500) provide good impact resistance and general toughness, they are limited in severe sliding abrasion environments. CCO plates feature a high volume fraction of primary M7C3 chromium carbides, which reach hardness values up to 1500 HV, compared to the 500 HBW (approx. 50 HRC) of AR500. Under sliding abrasion, CCO plates typically outlast AR500 by a factor of 3 to 5, resulting in significant savings in replacement and maintenance costs.
What backing materials are used for Runxing CCO plates, and are they weldable?
Our standard backing plates are made from structural carbon steels such as Q235B or ASTM A36, which provide toughness and facilitate easy welding. The back of the plates can be welded directly to chute structures using standard low-hydrogen electrodes (e.g., E7018). We can also utilize pressure vessel steels or high-temperature alloys as backing material for applications subject to extreme temperatures or high mechanical stress.
How are import logistics managed for customers in Mexico?
All export procedures are handled by Hebei Yuwan International Trade Co., Ltd., our authorized trade representative.
