Chromium Carbide Overlay (CCO) plates, such as our RX®wp 7600, feature a hardfacing weld overlay containing primary chromium carbides. While traditional Quenched and Tempered (AR) steels rely on martensitic hardness (typically 400-500 HBW) throughout the plate thickness, CCO plates provide a much harder wear surface (HRC 58-62). In sliding abrasion applications like wood chip conveyor chutes, CCO plates can outlast traditional AR plates by up to 5-10 times, reducing maintenance frequency and overall costs.
Yes. Runxing bimetallic plates feature a weldable mild steel backing (such as Q235B or ASTM A36), which allows them to be welded directly onto steel structures using standard structural welding consumables. The plates can be cut using plasma arc cutting systems (cutting from the backing side toward the overlay). They can also be cold-formed or rolled using heavy bending rolls to conform to curved surfaces, such as chute profiles or pipe geometries.

We implement quality control checks throughout the production cycle. Upon customer request, we also perform microstructure analysis to verify the volume fraction and even distribution of M7C3 primary carbides, and provide Mill Test Certificates (MTC) detailing chemical composition.
Self-shielded flux-cored wire is designed for on-site repair and rebuild work where providing gas shielding (such as argon or CO2) is difficult, such as outdoor industrial locations, ports, and quarries. The wire chemistry produces its own protective atmosphere during the arc process, allowing field technicians in Uruguay to rebuild bucket edges, draglines, and transport elements quickly and effectively.
