Learn MoreThe global heavy industry is transitioning towards automated, high-efficiency, and sustainable operations. As processing environments grow more intense, the demand for wear-resistant materials has evolved beyond traditional alloy steels. The modern standard relies heavily on Chromium Carbide Overlay (CCO) and bimetallic composites that combine structural ductility with superior surface hardness.
Key industrial drivers such as cement processing, open-cast mining, deep-sea dredging, and heavy-duty steel recycling demand components that can withstand combined mechanical stress. The trend is moving towards micro-alloyed overlays, where traditional chromium-iron systems are enhanced with elements like niobium, vanadium, and boron to form complex carbo-borides, pushing thermal resistance limits past 600°C.
Additionally, modern environmental policies demand resource conservation. Extending the service life of industrial components by 300% to 500% directly translates to reduced carbon footprint, minimized scrap generation, and lower primary steel production requirements, making high-end hardfacing a key component of sustainable industrial infrastructure.
From primary mineral extraction to material transport and handling, our engineered wear plates and components prevent premature machinery failure across critical sectors.
Aggressive grinding from raw meal, clinker, and limestone causes catastrophic wear to mill chutes, separator vanes, and fan housing. Runxing CCO wear liners maintain operating geometries, ensuring uninterrupted plant operations.
We provide bucket liners, truck bed linings, and hopper systems for deep-pit mining operations. Our high-carbide materials protect equipment against highly abrasive slurry, rock movement, and heavy mechanical impacts.
Coke guide plates, charging systems, and raw mineral hopper liners operate under extreme temperatures and constant erosion. Our customized, high-temperature-rated overlays provide the necessary protection.
Pulverized coal conduits, exhauster fan blades, and coal pulverizer mill liners demand extreme durability. Runxing hardfacing technology reduces maintenance outages and optimizes combustion efficiency.
Unloading hoppers, grabs, and dredge pump components endure dynamic sand, gravel, and saltwater slurry abrasion. Our hardfaced pipes and plates deliver targeted defense against erosive wear.
For applications where metallic wear plates reach physical limitations, we supply wear-resistant alumina ceramic elements sintered at high temperatures, offering outstanding resistance to fine particle abrasion.

Read ReportUnderstanding the engineering principles behind our wear-resistant steels and overlay technologies.
The performance of a Chromium Carbide Overlay (CCO) plate is determined by its microstructure. In our cladding process, the chemical composition is controlled to produce primary cr27-35% high-chromium alloys. During solidification, these alloys form primary hexagonal M7C3 carbides with a micro-hardness reaching up to 1500 HV. These hard carbides are suspended in a tough, eutectic matrix of austenite and martensite, which cushions the carbides against mechanical impacts.
Our automated welding systems utilize open-arc surfacing and submerged arc processes to control heat input. This keeps dilution from the base metal to a minimum, ensuring that even the first layer of overlay maintains a high carbon and chromium content. This design prevents cracking under thermal shock and ensures a low coefficient of friction, which reduces material build-up in hopper and chute configurations.
