Surfacing welding, commonly referred to as hardfacing, is a specialized thermal deposition process designed to apply wear-resistant, high-alloy materials directly onto a structural steel substrate. This surface engineering technique is critical in industries plagued by severe abrasion, impact, and heat-induced decay. The core objective of hardfacing is to optimize the microstructural behavior of the component's outer layer. By depositing a dense matrix of primary chromium carbides (M7C3) within a tough, eutectic matrix, the surface gains massive resistance to scratching and gouging.
According to standard classifications such as DIN 8555, hardfacing materials are categorized based on their chemical composition and hardness profiles (typically ranging from 55 to 65 HRC for chromium carbide alloys). Our RX-wp 7600 and RX-m Series are prime examples of this technology. We utilize advanced open-arc and submerged-arc overlay techniques to deposit high-chromium hypereutectic alloys. The resulting chromium carbide concentration delivers superior wear resistance, providing a service life up to 10 times longer than standard carbon steels and up to 4 times longer than conventional quenched and tempered wear plates.
In high-abrasion environments (such as cement chute liners and mining screens), simple hardness is insufficient. Under impact, brittle materials fracture. Our surfacing welding technology carefully balances the carbon-chromium ratios. This prevents the formation of intergranular cracks and ensures that primary M7C3 carbides remain uniformly dispersed within the ductile matrix, providing both extreme abrasion resistance and adequate impact absorption.
For industrial procurement directors and plant operators globally, equipment downtime is one of the most critical factors impacting profitability. In heavy mining sectors, cement calcination plants, coal-fired power stations, and modern dry bulk ports, the wear of conveyor components, grinding mills, and hoppers can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars per hour in lost productivity. Therefore, global procurement trends are shifting from cheap, consumable wear parts to high-performance, long-lasting OEM customized hardfacing solutions.
To meet these complex demands, suppliers must prove their operational depth. Companies require detailed material traceabilities, wear life projections, and consistent alloy quality. We address these requirements by providing detailed microstructural reports, verifying the volumetric fraction of chromium carbides, and maintaining a strict, ISO-certified manufacturing environment.
Tangshan Runxing Machinery Co., Ltd. represents the peak of Chinese smart industrial manufacturing. Located in the industrial center of Tangshan, Hebei Province, our facility utilizes Factory 4.0 principles to balance high speed, extreme quality control, and cost optimization.
Our manufacturing center features automated surfacing machines equipped with four-gun systems capable of operating simultaneously or independently. This CNC system, managed via intuitive 10.2-inch touchscreen interfaces, provides uniform speed, adjustable swing paths, and precision deposition control. This advanced machinery minimizes thermal distortion of the substrate plate while maximizing carbide density.
Through our exclusive logistics partnership with Hebei Yuwan International Trade Co., Ltd., we offer a streamlined global supply chain. All regulatory filings, international export documents, customs clearance, and global ocean freight logistics are managed smoothly, guaranteeing secure, on-time delivery to ports across Europe, the Americas, Central Asia, and Africa.
Different working environments globally present unique challenges. A coal pulverizer roll in a high-temperature power plant in South Africa experiences different wear patterns than a hopper handling abrasive silica sand at a port in Chile. Tangshan Runxing Machinery adapts to these local conditions:
Tangshan Runxing Machinery Co., Ltd., a professional manufacturer located in Tangshan, Hebei Province that focuses on R&D, production and on-site construction service of hardfacing wear-resistant metal products, was founded in 2010.
