What makes Chromium Carbide Overlay (CCO) plates superior to standard AR500 steel?
AR500 steel relies on martensitic hardening, which loses structural hardness under heat and continuous heavy abrasion. CCO plates, like our Runxing RX-m series, consist of a mild steel base fused with a high-chromium weld overlay. The carbide network (M7C3 carbides) features a hardness of up to 60-64 HRC, resisting micro-plowing even at elevated operational temperatures up to 600°C.
Can the composite bimetallic plate be formed, bent, or welded to existing machinery?
Yes, our bimetallic composite plates are highly versatile. The backing plate is ductile structural steel (ASTM A36 or Q235B), allowing it to be welded directly onto your equipment's framework. It can also be rolled or bent into curves to line chutes and pipes, with the overlay facing inward or outward depending on the direction of material flow.
